Reporting to the Executive that leads Walt Disney Imagineering Business Transformation & Workforce Strategy, the Senior Manager leads the Resource Management Office responsible for WDI resource strategy and management. This office will partner across all WDI studios and geographies to ensure integrated resource plans and processes. This team applies technical skills, analytics, and relationship skills to forecast resources, lead casting sessions, and develop scorecards. Ultimately, this role helps ensure we have the right Imagineer, at the right place, at the right time to create amazing products for our Guests.
You will:
Lead Walt Disney Imagineering labor strategy efforts that include transformation of existing processes and business rules, and introduction of new concepts to inspire changes across the organization
Drive a holistic approach to planning and prioritizing labor strategy initiatives globally
Provide leadership and ongoing professional development for both direct and indirect reports
Centrally manage WDI resource plans and resource planning process
Develop and lead a cross-studio, cross-geography project casting process
Partner with the WDI technology studio to develop and maintain resource management tools
Build resource scorecards to monitor progress against resource strategies in partnership with WDI Finance, HR, and studio leaders
Influence decision making by communicating complex analytical findings through simplified data visualization and communication tools
Advance data-driven analytical and problem-solving approaches to improve forecast accuracy
Support headcount, hires planning and related analyses across WDI
Build and foster relationships and partnerships to influence and drive change
You will have:
10+ years of progressive experience in resource management or related field
Experience leading, motivating, and managing a team
Proven ability to build and foster relationships with cross functional partners and lead in a collaborative way to drive results across the business
Skilled communicator with ability to present complex topics in a clear and concise way
Knowledge of mathematical and statistical analysis methods and ability to apply to real-world situations
Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects with competing demands for resources
Ability to work with partners at different levels to coordinate team efforts and in a team environment
Ability to understand current trends and identify opportunities for improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of the WDI creative development process and knowledge of Disney Parks organization
Experience with resource management for a project-based workforce
Education:
- BS/BA in finance, business, and/or engineering.
Preferred Education:
- Master of Business Administration
